The whole theme/template implementation seems much more limited after the switch to wordpress. Is there any way to customize the appearance of blogs with a greater degree of precision than the two default themes allow? Is there any way to upload custom themes?

The Blogzor default theme is much more configurable than the other one. We are trying to come up with a safe way that would open up the full css for users to edit. Using this strategy an advanced user could modify the css to have near full control over the look of their blog. The problem is that a malicious user could could use cross site scripting to try to hack the system. Hopefully we can come with a solution to this.
Overall we have had positive feedback on Wordpress. It is much easy to use and it is much more robust than our other system. Wordpress is constantly updating the program patching bugs as they go.
