I would like to use the trackback functionality but I seem to miss the ability to do so...
Als it would be nice to see a configurable ping setting...

It was disabled because it was being used by spammers. I will enable it again now and see how it is used. You suggestion for a customize ping setting is very good and it will be added to our wish list. Do you have recommendations for other sites that we should be pinging?
