We just finished upgrading the blog engine. Let us know if you find any problems. This new version should resolve several minor bugs and enhance security. A new comment spam management system was added. This should help eliminate spam and prevent users from having to type in a code.
We are getting ready to upgrade to the latest version of Wordpress. This update will be completed tonight. We do no foresee and downtime during the upgrade. Blogs may be temporarily disabled during the upgrade.
We are currently testing the new version of Wordpress and plan on implementing it early next week. The new version is a minor update and should fix several minor bugs that are in the current system. There should be no downtime during the upgrade. We will also be removing the test site with all the old blogs at xaqq.com
We are testing a new opml export feature and would like feedback. If there is interest we will implement it into the admin area. To access the export just go to your blog with the directory your_blogname_blogzor.com/opml/

We have just added two new plugins WP-Extreme Video and WP-Flickr Post Bar. WP-Extreme Video will allow you to easily embed Google, Youtube, and other remote videos into your blog. Activate the plugin first. Then to add a google video:
1) Find the line data=”http://video.google.com/….” (it will be in the code twice)
2) Copy the FULL URL start with “http://” and ending at “&playerMode=embeded”

The Flickr Post Bar will allow you to drag and drop your Flickr images into new posts. This works well the the Falbum plugin.
There are only two templates that are currently available, the default Wordpress template and one called Blogzor. The Blogzor template was created to give you the most control over the look and fee of your blog. To try this template login to you control panel and select “Presentation” and select “Blogzor” as the template. You will then see a new option in the submenus at the top of the screen called “blogzor”. Click this link and you will be able to easily customize the look and feel of your blog. We recommend you also enable the plugin called “Sidebar editor”. This will give you control over your menu. You can select which items should appear on menu and the order of each. Once enabled you will access the settings under the “Presentation” section.
Let us know if you want to customize additional parts of the template and we can add it to the blogzor configuration.
Update: We just added advanced font settings for the heading and subheading text.
Blogzor has completed the upgrade and is now running on the Wordpress engine. The new system should be much easier to use and manage. We will get some more tips on how to customize your blog soon. Post any problems you find here.
You can easily import your feeds from your previous blog. To do this go to your old blog http://your_blog_name.xaqq.com. Click the link to the rss 2.0 feed and save the file to your computer. Next login to your control panel and click the import link. Select RSS and upload the file you downloaded.
